Along the same lines, I once almost suggested a pair of archetypes taken from Plato: the tormented Philosopher and the Beloved Tyrant. Tormented philosophers have wisdom and knowledge, but are always attacked by the surrounding society (perhaps making this part of the martyr archetype). Beloved Tyrants follow the base parts of their souls, and everyone loves them. It's no longer clear in my head now though or I'd explain better.

In regards to Jesus the Martyr vs. Jesus the King, I'd say part of the True King is being Martyred (or some such). like King Arthur being killed by his son, Quetzalcoatl being exiled by his people, Kennedy's assassination, Elvis's death and resurrection, plus all the other bits mentioned. Anyway, my conception of Chrisitanity when proposing Christ was the Martyr (for UA purposes) was largely based on Crowley claiming Christ was the Dying God, and Crowley the crowned and Conquering Child, plus general aesthetic joy at spontaneously creating what seems like a good meta-plot for some campaign.

Mr. Teapot
wonders if the Prophet has shifted to the Drug Addict archetype
