Just as a note:
I'm not arguing for Jesus's position as a diety in UA. In real life that's
entirely another matter. I proposed his position as an Archetype, not as a
reality. But I'm interested in seeing how this one plays out. Have at it.

That's nice. It's got a nice beat, and I can dance to it. I give
it an 89.

My money is on Jesus Ascending either as an avatar of the True
King [1], The Dying Man-God [2], or some combination of the two
[3].
[1] A lot of evidence can be made for Christ being the
"historical" archetype of the True King. It's no accident that
the Spear of Destiny was the weapon that wounded the Fisher
King. Think of the Campebellian hero-monomyth.
[2] See Osirus, Dionysius, Mithras, Attis, etc, etc. Plus we get
to add it all sorts of Frazerian seasonal mojo.
[3] They really aren't that far off from each other. I'd say [1]
skews more to the human, and [2] skews more for the divine...
Hey, maybe Christ's Ascension split the Archetype from Dying God
to True King. In other words, he fulfilled that role so
superbly, that his role as the Dying God became part of the
fabric of existence, and the possibility of anyone ever
fulfilling that role again cl,osed off. The human psychological
impetus to the hero monomyth remained, but could no longer allow
the jump from human to divine, and redirected this impetus into
the concept of "the divine right of kings" and things lke the
Merovingian bloodline.
Would that make Christ's IC slot unnassailable, or did he get
booted as soon as the first True King arose?
Also: are former-IC members immortal? If demons don't need to
follow human rules of magick, do former IC members have to?
