Actually, I'm going to argue that Christ didn't Ascend as the Martyr.  I
think he either Ascended as the Messiah, or as the Son of God.

Christ was ousted already, back around the turn of the century, from his
role of the Martyr by Oscar Wilde.  Christ then went through the house and
came out as Aleister Crowley.  Of course.
