<p>Why not just have the heat pump charge the storage independently and then have the load use the storage tank? Then you can send part of the load flow through the tank, part of the load flow bypassing the tank and then mix them together to get the desired load supply temperature. That's typically how it's done in practice. Then you would use an aquastat or equivalent controller to turn on and off the heat pump to charge the storage. On the load side you would use a tempering valve controller to maintain your 10 C delivery temperature.</p>
