<p>Dr. Redpath,</p>
<p> Yes, certainly. In order to do so, you'd need access to a
Fortran compiler. If possible, it would be helpful to have the
Intel Visual Fortran compiler so that you could integrate the new
code into the TRNDll instead of having to treat it as an external
component. In order to write the link as an external component
you'd still need to have a Fortran compiler (there isn't one built
into Trnsys17) but it would not necessarily have to be the same
one that it used to compile the rest of TRNSYS.</p>
<p>kind regards,</p>

To my knowledge there is not a link between TRNSYS and
CoolProp in
<br>
v17. There is such a link in v18. It is implemented as a
possible call
<br>
that can be made from a Type (ie from within the source code)
like the
<br>
call to MoistAirProperties() or to SteamProperties(). It is not
<br>
implemented as a Type. The idea is that the built-in Fortran
compiler
<br>
(TypeStudio) can be used to implement the call and get the
properties
<br>
that you need.

kind regards,

Simply install TRNSYS17 in its own separate directory.

Hello,

I'd like to know if I can have version 16 and 17 on the same

computer, and if it is the case, how would I proceed to
install
<br>
Transys v17 on a computer that has Transys v16?

Thank you in advance.

Hi David,
<br>
<br>
Would it be possible then to build a component doing this in
TRNSYS 17?
