<p> Can you be a bit more specific about what you mean by "transient
state" analysis? Type1271 uses a performance map lookup method.
Its compressor is assumed to vary its speed to maintain a constant
outlet temperature on the load side. In that the heat pump
compressor adjusts to the present load requirements it does do a
transient analysis. However, if you are looking for a component
that uses a more first principals approach and models the state of
the refrigerant in the heat pumps heat exchangers, compressors,
and expansion valve then I think you would need to look to a
different Type than 1271.</p>

<p>As a side comment, please note that Type1271 is an air (source)
to water (load) heat pump, not an air to air heat pump. <br>
