<p>There is an aquifer thermal energy storage model (TRNATES) available from your distributor (TESS, TRANSSOLAR etc.). We've used it a few times with pretty good results but it does have a few limitations (the bores don't interact thermally for example). We've also managed to couple MODFLOW and MT3D with TRNSYS (popular groundwater models) and can provide more information if needed.</p>

<p>Javier,</p>
<p>That sounds suspiciously like a convergence problem. Have you checked the list file to see if you are running into convergence issues? Have you tried to TRACE the models in question to see what's happening on an iteration by iteration basis? If it's convergence problems then the questions become: are you using a small timestep? Are you using a controller with hysteresis? etc.</p>
