<p> Thermally speaking, opening a window causes more air flow to
come into the building. It is quite easy to increase the
infiltration into the building based on a schedule of 2 hours per
day. The problem is to know how much air comes into the building
as a result of opening a window and that is where TRNFLOW (or
CONTAM/Type97) are useful. If you are trying to avoid using
TRNFLOW because it is an add-on then you can use Type97 in the
standard library (and CONTAM, a freely available software tool
from NIST). If you are trying to avoid using TRNFLOW because of
the amount of extra information that you need to enter then I am
not aware of any simple alternatives in Trnsys17 that amount to
much more than making a guess as to the air flow rate that comes
in through the windows.<br>
