<p>Usually the catalogs report total flow and do not separate out by
return or outside air because the return and outside air streams
mix before going through the heat pump. <br>
</p>
<p>It doesn't matter if your catalog has more or fewer values than
the example data file. The model's parameters allow you to adjust
the number of values of each variable that you are supplying in
your data file.</p>

<p> I think the adjacent window on the back side of ATR1 (the long
wall that is further from the origin) is missing its window. There
is a corresponding window in LEV1.</p>
<p> I also think there may be a problem in that LEV1 and RDC should
both be annuli. If you hide all but one of those zones and then
click on its roof, you'll see that the roof extends over what
should be the space taken up by the corresponding atrium zone. If
you redraw one of the sides of the cutout, it will turn into a
window that you can then delete. Check both the ceilings and
floors of both LEV1 and RDC.<br>

<p>Actually there is a way - but it's kind of sneaky! Set the control cards you wish to change to STRINGS and give them equation names: STARTTIME, STOPTIME, TIMESTEP, ATOL, DTOL etc,</p>
<p>Then drag out one of the equation components and define these equation names / values for one of your cases. Make sure to change the name of the equation component to something descriptive: MAY_JUNE_0PT25HOURS for example When you are finished, test it to make sure it runs and then right click on the equation component in the assembly window and choose SAVE. Pick a location in the Studio/Proformas directory that you'll remember and save it there. Repeat this process for each of the simulation cards that you wish to create. Then choose the Direct Access --> Refresh Tree option to re-load the libraries. Now you've got a library of control cards that you can drag out and use each time you'd like a change.</p>

I am going back through some emails that came in while I was away. Did you get this figured out? If not then the idea of the tempering valve control is that it determines the fraction of hot and cold water that need to be mixed together to arrive at or below a desired maximum temperature. In a real system this could be accomplished by a PID but mathematically if you know the two source temperatures (one hot, one cold) then you can compute the ratio required. The PID and the tempering valve controller are redundant. Both accomplish the same thing.<br>

That is the reason why i put a tempering valve control (Type115) and a PID controller (Type 22 or 23) to compare the setpoint temperature and the heating temperature.<br>
