<p> I am not aware of any existing models. If the equations that
govern the piston are simple enough then you can enter them as
equations in the Simulation Studio project. If they are more
complex then you would need to write a new TRNSYS Type. If you are
using Trnsys18 there is a dedicated Fortran compiler (called
TypeStudio) built in to TRNSYS. If you are using an earlier
version of TRNSYS then you will need to obtain an external Fortran
compiler in order to write the component. A third alternative
would be to develop the piston model in EES, Excel, or Matlab and
then use the appropriate TRNSYS Type to communicated between
Trnsys and the external model.</p>

<p>I'm trying to modelise a Stirling engine on Trnsys. I chose
to break it down into its constituent parts, because there is
not a complete Stirling Engine Component available on this
software.

<p>However, I don't know how to modelise the piston part of
Stirling cycle. I would like to modelise this part with a tank
and a piston inside it. Regarding the inflow temperature, air
will expend and push the piston.</p>
