    <p> I am not sure which air compressor component you refer to.
      However, it probably makes the assumption that the air properties
      are constant over the temperature and pressure range in which the
      compressor operates. If the CO2 properties are constant over the
      operation range for the compressor in your simulation then I
      imagine it would be reasonable to change the properties. If the
      CO2 properties are not constant, however, then the model's
      assumptions are not appropriate and you would not get good results
      from using it.</p>
