<p> TRNBuild allows you to define new materials. You can define
soil by its density, specific heat, and thermal conductivity and
then assign a thickness to the layer. Do not, however, define an
infinitely thick layer of soil. The larger question, is how you
will compute the temperature on the under side of your soil
"layer." There are a number of options and I would recommend that
you look back through the archives of this forum to learn about
them. The most robust option (but slow to compute) would be to
implement Type49 to compute the ground temperature underneath your
soil layer.</p>
