    Brad,<br>
     I went to NREL's data site and got the Albany data file, saved it
    locally (leaving the extension of *.csv) and made a new project in
    the demo version using the Type15-TMY3 (Type 15 mode 7) proforma,
    indicated the Albany data file, put in an online plotter to watch
    temperature and ran the project without any errors. If you'd like to
    send me the file that you downloaded I can try that one too.<br>

               The official TMY3 syntax is comma separated. The file you
              attached is tab delimited. Did you download it directly
              from an NREL site or did it get processed (resaved as tab

                            should work fine with the demo version. You
                            do have to make sure that you are using the
                            TMY3 mode of Type15. When you get the error,
                            to what "it" do you refer? Is there an error
                            generated by TRNSYS? Is Windows complaining
                            about the file type? Some additional
                            specifics about the source of the error and
                            the language of the error would help in
                            tracking down its cause.<br>
