I am pretty sure I did save it as tab delimited because it was the only way I could figure out how to end in a TMY3 extension rather than TMY3.CSV. The official TMY3 syntax is comma separated. The file you attached
is tab delimited. Did you download it directly from an NREL site or
did it get processed (resaved as tab delimited?) along the way?<br>

TMY3 files downloaded from NREL's site should work fine
with the demo version. You do have to make sure that you
are using the TMY3 mode of Type15. When you get the error,
to what "it" do you refer? Is there an error generated by
TRNSYS? Is Windows complaining about the file type? Some
additional specifics about the source of the error and the
language of the error would help in tracking down its
cause.<br>
