Wajahat Khan,
Both of those components base their estimate of performance on a
performance map that gives (essentially) device capacity and COP as
a function of the current inlet conditions. The refrigerant and
indeed all the inner workings of the device are irrelevant because
their properties are built in to the performance map. It is
recommended that you find a performance map for the specific
equipment that you are trying to model if at all possible. Such data
can often be obtained from manufacturers in their published
literature.
