One thing I’m attempting to do with the TMY data is in modelling existing buildings, where I can ask “what if” questions, e.g., if we add more insulation to the ceiling or replace windows, what will be the energy savings and cost-benefit relationship. So, in starting with good TMY data and getting reasonable correlation of the model to past gas usage, I have a good starting place. That with recorded meteorological extremes for the location, I can design new heating and solar systems fairly effectively.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D'>Thanks for your ideas.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D'>Cheers,<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D'>Roger Hill<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><b><span lang=EN-US style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"'>From:</span></b><span lang=EN-US style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma","sans-serif"'> TRNSYS-users [mailto:trnsys-users-bounces@lists.onebuilding.org] <b>On Behalf Of </b>Ben Heymer<br><b>Sent:</b> Saturday, 8 August 2015 12:38 a.m.<br><b>To:</b> TRNSYS users mailing list at OneBuilding.org<br><b>Subject:</b> Re: [TRNSYS-users] Weather Stations<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><div><p class=MsoNormal>Roger,<o:p></o:p></p><div><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal>The suppliers of the weather data are happy to discuss their technical approach for generating data, in my experience.
