     The "export" feature is where you need to start. Essentially the
    export feature saves any changes you have made in TRNBuild. You then
    open the exported idf file in SketchUp and make your geometry
    change, then bring the idf file back into TRNBuild. If everything
    worked then you'll have your new geometry and all the changes that
    you previously made in TRNBuild preserved. There is a tutorial on
    the use of Trnsys3D located in the ..\Trnsys17\Documentation
    directory. It includes some hints on the export/import process.<br>

            archives and I find several other topics about the same
            issue but no answer that solves my problem. The “Update
            TRNSYS3d” command is greyed out in TRNBuild. There is an
            export command but I don’t want to export an .idf from
            TRNBuild, I want to change my model in TRNSYS3d and then
            import the generated .idf to TRNBuild. Can someone explain
            to me what I’m missing?
