Giulia,
There are two things that you need to do.

1. In TRNBuild, you need to go to the "project" window and double
click on each of your ORIENTATIONS to make sure that each is set to
"calculation of radiation data: external by another component" Once
you have made the change, exit TRNBuild and when you are in the
Studio, right click on the Type56 proforma and select "update
building variable list." The Type56 INPUTs list should now include
total radiation, beam radiation, and angle of incidence of beam
radiation for each ORIENTATION in your building.
2. You need to use a Type16 in between your Type9 and your Type56 to
take the raw solar radiation data from Type9 and compute the beam,
total, and angle of incidence on all of the orientations in your
building. I would recommend that you look carefully at the example
located in:

..\Trnsys17\Examples\Reading Data Files\RadiationProcessing.tpf

Kind regards,

Hello everyone, I'd like to ask something about how
to import a different set of RADIATION data (.prn) and
re-connect the new imported values to the building in the same
way the file was originally and automatically created (after the
importation of a .idf file from the Trnsys3d plugin for
Sketchup) in TRNSYS 17.

I've already used this kind of procedure for temperature
and relative humidity data, using a .prn input file and "Type
9b", but this specific case seems a little bit different and
difficult for me to understand. I also know that a specific
Type should exist in order to automatically separate and
re-distribute the new imported values to the corresponding
facedes and so on..

Any sort of advice would be really appreciated,

Thank you,
