Ali Javed,
It is preferable to create an external data file for Type107 that
corresponds with the actual absorption chiller that you are trying
to analyze. However, if you do not have any such performance data
then the sample data file associated with Type107 can be used. We
did some work many years ago to look at what the performance curves
of various pieces of HVAC equipment look like when you divide all of
the performance points by their value at the rated condition. Some
equipment (such as constant-speed compressor heat pumps) all start
to look basically the same when their performance is normalized.
Some other equipment (notably absorption chillers, which is why I am
bothering you with this...) do not look similar to one another when
normalized. The take-away here is that if at all possible, get
performance data for the absorption chiller manufacturer and model
that you are planning to use.
I am using hot water fired absorption chiller type 107 for
cooling of a building in Trnsys. I have made a model for my
system but i don't understand the function of input file which
is used in type 107 (Examples\Data Files). is I have to change
this file for my system or it remains same ????
