To add to what Jochen wrote, the zones in your Type56 model do not
have to have any direct thermal contact with each other. If you were
to create a zone for the platform, a zone for the concourse and a
zone for the entrance but have no ADJACENT walls in the model then
there is no direct thermal contact between the parts of the
building. In order to simulate the indirect contact (contact through
the soil) you need to implement BOUNDARY walls in each of the three
sections of your model these BOUNDARY walls will be in direct
thermal contact with a soil model. For the soil model I would
recommend that you start off simply assuming that the soil is a
known temperature that is not affected by what happens in the metro.
This will get the model running and allow you to test it. Once you
have the building and its thermal zones set up then you can
implement the Type1267 (Tess Ground Coupling -
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://trnsys.com/tess-libraries/individual-components.php">http://trnsys.com/tess-libraries/individual-components.php</a>) in order
to model the dynamic impact of the soil.<br>
Kind regards,<br>
