a traditional air-to-air heat pump typically has a coefficient of
performance (COP) of about 1.5 to 2 meaning that for every unit of
energy you put into the compressor you deliver about 1.5 to 2 units
of thermal energy to the air stream. So very roughly, your 10kW heat
pump would have a rated heating power between 5 and 7kW. These are
very rough numbers, however and I would highly recommend that you go
to the website of a heat pump manufacturer and find some product
literature for a device with a 10kW heating capacity to see what the
heating power (really the compressor power when in heating mode) is.<br>
