In my experience, Type539 is the most complete, robust flat plate
solar collector model. It includes thermal capacitance effects that
most of the other collector models ignore. It has also been vetted
and has had some fixes to make its results consistent at very low
flow rates. I have compared it to measured data a number of times
with good success but often you have to deviate from the
manufacturer's stated performance values in order to get a good
match. <br>

have seen there are many flat plate solar thermal collectors
available in TRNSYS. However, I am wondering if anybody has
done some kind of comparison of these collectors with real
measured data. Which one would be the most accurate model? <o:p></o:p></p>
