Karol,
Type686 is an attempt at making a building model without actually
making a building. It generates a profile that has many of the same
characteristics of a building's overall heating and cooling loads.
It has a number of "randomization" parameters that allow you to
change the characteristics of the profile (to change its "signal to
noise ratio" if I may borrow a term from the electrical engineers
out there...) I don't see why you couldn't use its profiles as
though they were energy gains into a more traditional building
model. I would recommend that you play around with the Type and make
sure that the profile that it is generating makes good sense to you
and also make sure that it is not generating any unrealistically
high energy gain values over the course of the simulation year.
Kind regards,
