Leen,
If you are using Trnsys17 and Trnsys3D, this is fairly
straightforward. You would add a shading device to the Trnsys3D
model and Type56 would automatically assess its impact provided that
you ask TRNBuild to generate the shading mask. If you are using
Trnsys16 or want to rely on Type34, what I would suggest is that you
define approximately three Type34s. Define each one's aperture to be
the height of the facade and about 1/3 its length. For simplicity,
pretend that the total facade is 100m long and that the overhang
projects 1m. One Type34 will have a 66.6m left overhang extension
and a 0m right overhang extension. The second Type34 will have a
33.3m left overhang extension and a 33.3m right overhang extension.
The last one will have a 0m left extension and a 66.6m right
extension. All three will have a 1m projection. I would then take
the solar radiation computed by those Type34s and pass it to the
Type56 facades. Bear in mind that you will have to break the Type56
facade up into three parts and you will have to assign each part its
own "orientation" not because they face different directions but
because Type56 associates orientations with a unique amount of solar
radiation falling on a surface.

Of course if you don't think that three pieces is enough
precision, you can break the facade up into more pieces.
