The *** syntax is a special code recognized by the TRNSYS input
file processor to mean "append the name of the input file onto the
specified extension"<br>
<br>
before modification of the input file, you should find files called
combisys.ou1, combiSys.ou2, etc.<br>
<br>
By deleting one of the three asterisks the processor now thinks
that the output file names should be:<br>
<br>
**.ou1, **.ou2. It will no longer append the name of the input file
onto the specified extension. <br>

folder, bat and txt file did not support this assumption.</font></div>

idea about why two output files-ou1 and ou2 are blank.</font></div>
