I would imagine that the required area would change depending on
how much sun there is at any given point in time. Since it is not
possible to change the collector array constantly in an actual built
system, normally the way a simulation would be carried out is to do
some hand (or Excel) calculations to determine the area required at
a predefined solar condition (maybe at peak solar availability,
maybe some average solar availability) and then to run the
simulation with that area. If the hand/Excel calculations aren't
working, you could do trial and error - choose an area and see if it
meets the absorption machine's requirements. If not, increase the
area.<br>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12.0pt">Mayank,<br>
In order to add an output to a component, you need to
modify the Type's
source code and recompile the TRNDll using a Fortran
compiler. Actually
changing an input variable to an output variable is a fairly
complex procedure
because by definition, the component's performance depends
on its input values.
In this case, the performance of your collector depends on
the collector area.
If you want to change the area from an input to an output,
you also need to
figure out how you are going to calculate the collector
performance without
without knowing the collector area in advance.<br>
