Dear all,

I control OP(window opening factor) in order to make indoor CO2% lower than 0.001476 kg/kg (900 ppm) based on indoor CO2%. I used 2 simple methods:

1) OP=(LT(0.001476, CO2%))*1, i.e. if CO2%>0.001476, OP=1 windows will open completely;
2) I defined SCHEDULE 001: about every 1 or 2 hours, OP=1 during 15 mins, 6 cycles.

BUT the two methods' results are very weird. to 1): OP is from 0 to 1 then to 0, there are 6 cycles during 24 h, 1 open/close cycle about only 6 mins, but FLTOZ: escaping air flow mass about 3000kg in all, CO2% is indeed lower than 900 ppm; Please see the ATTACHED 1st and 2nd, 3rd is the Online-plotter. FLTOZ can be seen from the *.out file 4th Attached.

to 2): SCHEDULE 001 is from 0 to 1, after 15 mins, from 1 to 0, there are also 6 cycles during 24 h, 1 open/close cycle about 15 mins, ALTHOUGH cycle time is bigger than 1): 6 mins, FLTOZ: escaping air flow mass about only 1550kg in all (weird), CO2% is higher than 900 ppm sometimes (weird); Please see the ATTACHED 5th and 6th, 7th is the Online-plotter. FLTOZ can be seen from the *.out file 8th Attached. SCHEDULE 001 can be found in TRNBUILD file.

I can't understand why 2)'s opening time is bigger than 1) and its open type is complete open during 15 mins (like a rectangle), but FLTOZ (escaping air flow mass about only 1550kg in all), CO2% is higher than 900 ppm sometimes , however, 1)'s open type is from 0 to 1 then to 0 only during 6 mins like a triangle, but FLTOZ (escaping air flow mass about 3000kg in all), CO2% is indeed lower than 900 ppm?

Please give me some advices! I think the problem may be TRNSYS and TRNFlow compatible reason.

Many thanks in advance!

Br.

wang

Hi,

I am simulating type 1b solar thermal collector using type 15-2 weather files.I want to calculate the useful energy of the collector for london environment.but the useful energy is in negative,why is that it should be positive.take a look of the simulation result below:I have highlighted it with the red color. waiting for the reply
