Dear Lei Wang,

You can update the source code quite easily by opening the components' *.f90 or the *.for source code in Visual Studio or a text editor and implementing changes. You cannot use that component in your TRNSYS simulation unless it is compiled into a DLL.

Please reference the source code of different components to help you in the ".\SourceCode\Types" and ".\Tess Models\SourceCode" directories.

Best regards,

Matt Duffy

----- Original Message -----
From: "Lei Wang" <leiwang@tees.tamus.edu>
Sent: Fri, June 10, 2011 10:44
Subject: [TRNSYS-users] How to update the source code of custom components

<table cellspaci!

Dear all
I had a question. How to update the source code of custom components efficiently?
I had developed the first version of a chiller plant control strategies model.
When I want to improve it, I need to added some input and output. I find it's
complexes to re-use the source code. Could anyone give me some suggestions to how it
work smoothly.
Thanks
Lei Wang
