It sounds as though your understanding is correct. Take a look at
the 3d_Building example
(.\Trnsys17\Examples\3d_building\Building.tpf). The idea is that you
draw the building in SketchUp/Trnsys3D using plan north, not true
north. When you then deal with the building in TRNBuild/Trnsys
Studio, you have to correct for the difference between plan and true
north.<br>

<p class="MsoNormal">I’m a new user of TRNSYS and am using it to
model a building. I’ve created the geometry in SketchUp and
imported it into the Simulation Studio, but am unsure how to
turn it to its correct orientation. Is this what the TURN
component does? My understanding is that the Orientation in
TRNBUILD relates to how the walls etc. are oriented relative
to each other, and that I need to turn the whole building – is
this the right interpretation? Can you explain how to use it,
as I can’t find any reference to it in the documentation?<o:p></o:p></p>
