Dear Yu,
Can you please try the following:

1. make a copy of an existing proforma, giving it the name of your
new Type. For example, make a copy of Type6.tmf and give it the new
name Type999.tmf (or whatever new Type number you have chosen if it
is not 999).
2. do the same for the *.bmp that is associated with the proforma.
Copy Type6.bmp and call it Type999.bmp.
3. save the new proforma and bitmap wherever you would like your new
Type to be in the ..\Studio\Proformas\ directory structure. Place
both in the same location - you do not have to keep the Type999.bmp
in the ..\Studio\Icon\ directory
4. Open the program that you use for editing bitmaps, open the
Type999.bmp and change the icon however you like. Save the change.
5. Open the Simulation Studio and edit the Type999 proforma.

What these steps do is avoid the need to associate a bitmap icon
with a proforma from within the Studio.
Kind regards,
David

Dear friend,

Sorry to disturb you here. I'm a user from China.

I'm creating a new component and want to choose an icon. Now
when I browse to the .bmp file and select it, TRNsys crashes.
According some method as followed, the problem also can not be
solved, I don't know why. Could you tell me the reason? Thanks !

Methods:

This usually happens when the OLE server of your draing
application (per
default Paint) is not installed correctly, or has been replaced
by one which
does not work correctly. You can either re-install the drawing
application
(hoping this will repair it), or edit the bitmap directly:

1. Create the .tmf file and save it; this will create a
.bmp file in the
same directory
2. Delete the created .bmp file (it is black and white per
default, which
is ugly)
3. Create a new one with the same name at the same location
4. When you restart the Studio, the new icon will be used.

Regards
