With Windows 7 and Vista, the operating system is very strange about whether it allows read/write privileges and whether it shows you any files. It tries to keep a lot hidden so that you don't accidentally delete things. If you install Trnsys16 (or 17) in a different directory (I have mine in c:\PF\Trnsys16_1\) these strange problems will go away.<br>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">“notepad cannot find the C:\Program Files (x86)\Trnsys 16\MyProjects\STEC_STORAGE.dck file.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">If I select: calculate>>open>>list file I can access the “simulation log” window (and then, I suppose, the STEC_STORAGE.log file!). But if I try to open the “list file” he gives me the same error of the .dck file!</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">If I access the folder “Myprojects” I don’t see these files, but if I access the same folder from the main window (doing for instance “save as” and visualizing “all files”) I can see all the 3 files (STEC_STORAGE.log, STEC_STORAGE.dck and STEC_STORAGE.lst)!!!!</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">The icons of these files appear with a locker on the bottom-left, and I guess this is the problem, but there are not particular settings related with files’ sharing or safety!</span></p>
