Yes, TRNSYS can be called from a command line. In case it is useful in
your work, TRNSYS has already been linked to GenOpt (a generic
optimization tool developed at Lawrence Berkeley National Labs) both
directly (<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://sel.me.wisc.edu/trnsys/demos/index.html#GenoptType56">http://sel.me.wisc.edu/trnsys/demos/index.html#GenoptType56</a>)
and through a commercially available interface called TRNOpt
(<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://www.trnsys.com/">http://www.trnsys.com/</a> - click on "TESS Component Libraries" and
scroll down to "Optimization Components."<br>
Best,<br>

<div>Hello,<br>
<br>
I am a Phd student at Lleida University in Catalonia in Spain. Now I am<br>
working on an optimization problem about building acclimatization and I
am<br>
searching a program that allows me to do that. The question that I want
to<br>
make is if it is possible to execute your program from a command line
with<br>
the variables as arguments. In particular, I would like to be able to<br>
incorporate your system as a module of an optimization environment. This<br>
environment would execute several times your program through a system<br>
call, with different input parameters and process the results to
configure the<br>
next iteration. I have not yet figured out how to perform that call.</div>
<div>Also, I would like to know if it is possible to execute your
program on a<br>
Linux system.<br>
<br>
Thanks so much for your time,</div>
