Dear David and Abdullahi,

Thank you very much for the replies. Just one more question. What about parameter No 22 'Slab U-value'? Do I need to calculate this in type 56 for the specific floor element (and which N-type is this, I am using TRNSYS 16_1 and I cannot find this out) and pass it on type 703? The manual says that this is not required, but it is confusing for me, since it is one of the parameters of the type. Thank you in advance,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I think that
"undisturbed" in this case is just referring to the temperature of
soil far enough away from the building that it is not affected by anything other
than the time of year and depth. You can use the Type77 Ground Temperature
model to get the soil temperature. A good guess for the average annual deep
earth soil temperature is the average annual air temperature. The amplitude is
the difference between the maximum average monthly temperature and the minimum
average monthly temperature (you should be able to figure that out from the
data file). The shift is the day on which the minimum temperature occurs and
again should be obtainable from the weather file.
Kind regards,

I am using type 703 and I have a question regarding parameters 8,9,10 which
refer to the surface temperature- temperature of undisturbed soil. What does
'undisturbed soil' mean exactly? I can get measurements from local weather
stations regarding the soil temperature at various depths; hourly values
measured at 10cm depth, daily values taken at 9am for 30cm and 100cm depth.

If I use average soil temperature measurements for 10cm depth, would that be a
correct dataset to use in orfed to derive mean surface temperature, amplitude
of surface temperature and day of min surface temperature? Would surface
temperature differ a lot from the soil temperature at 10cm? Thank you in
advance

Best Regards
