style='font-size:10.0pt'>The bi-annual conference of IBPSA-Canada is being
organized to bring together professionals, academics and students interested in
building performance simulation issues and applications. It will be held in
Québec City, Canada on May 21 and 22, 2008 (pre-conference workshops May 20,
2008). The conference will be hosted by l'École d'architecture de l'Université
Laval in Québec City, in collaboration with the National Research Council of
Canada.</span></font></p>

<p class=MsoNormal><font size=2 face="Arial Narrow"><span lang=EN-CA
style='font-size:10.0pt'> </span></font></p>

<p class=MsoNormal><font size=2 face="Arial Narrow"><span lang=EN-CA
style='font-size:10.0pt'>L'École d'architecture, part of the Faculté d'aménagement,
d'architecture et des arts visuels de l'Université Laval, is located within the
fortifications of the historic district of Québec City. The nearby Musée de la
civilisation, located in the city's old port district will serve as the main
conference venue (<a href="http://www.mcq.org/">www.mcq.org</a>). 2008 will be
a landmark year for Québec as the city will be celebrating the 400th
anniversary of its founding in 1608. Although most celebrations will be held
from June to August, the end of May is expected to be a festive – and
busy - time of year in this part of the city (<a
href="http://www.monquebec2008.com/">www.monquebec2008.com</a>). Attendees are
