I would suggest that you consult section 8.4.11 of the
08-Programmer's Guide as it contains instructions for recompiling the
trndll.dll project using the Intel compiler. If those suggestions do not
solve the problem then it may be caused by a lingering incompatibility
between the Compaq and Intel compilers. We are still working out some
incompatibilities, specifically in the opensource Type56 and Type109
code. With the most recent release of TRNSYS (v. 16.00.0038) you should
be able to generate <i>external</i> DLLs containing new components but
there are still problems to fully recompile the trndll.dll itself. From
the list of errors that you sent, it looks as though there are a number
of "unresolved externals." This error indicates that a
subroutine was unable to find a certain function that it calls. For
example, if your routine calls the TRNSYS function getSimulationTimeStep(
) but the function is located in a file that doesn't exist in your
solution, then you will get an unresolved external. I do not believe that
is the problem in your case however. I am sorry not to be able to give
you a straightforward answer. If you need assistance in setting up an
Intel Compiler solution to generate a DLL containing a new component to
drop into the \UserLib directory, you should contact your distributor or
consult the 08-Programmer's Guide manual.<br>
