Dear Krishna,<br>
We have fixed this problem in version 16.00.0038, which will be
available from your distributor shortly. In version 16.00.0037, variable
names that start with CON, EQU, INC, and END are illegal because these
are recognized by the simulation input file parser as matching the
keywords CONSTANTS, EQUATIONS, INCLUDE, and END. Ever since its
beginning, TRNSYS has actually only paid attention to the first three
letters of each keyword. Since Studio is a jumping off point for
developing TRNSED simulations, what I would suggest you do is to generate
the TRNSED comments in the input file, then switch to editing the input
file in TRNEdit.exe. From there, as you correctly pointed out, you can
modify the illegal equation names and run the simulation from
TRNEdit.exe.<br>
Kind regards,<br>

I am encountering the following problem in using Trnsys 16.
<br><br>
1) create a new multizone building project using the wizard
(assistant).<br><br>
2) Go to the control cards ( Global Info) and select "21. Write
Trnsed commands" to true.<br><br>
3) Run the program and there is an error.<br><br>
The listing file states the error to be because of a conflicting variable
name. This variable is located in the deck file. The studio creates the
variable name as "CONTNATI" which is unacceptable as its name
starts with a "CON"<br><br>
If we want to run the .trd file using the TRNExe.exe We would have to go
to the deck file and rename this variable to something
acceptable.<br><br>
I am able to run from the studio by having the "Write Trnsed
commands" turned off.<br><br>
The number of conflicting variables created also varies once we do some
modifications in the system. I have had three or four conflicting
variables to no conflicting variables.<br><br>
Please let me know if there a way to correct this problem.<br><br>
Thank you,<br><br>
Krishna<br>
