[TRNSYS-users] Matched flow control

Adnan,

If the flow rate is proportional to the ambient temperature then there
are some models in the TESS Controls library that you can use (Type1250
for example). If you are doing feedback control (in other words
comparing a temperature to a desired temperature and implementing a
controller whose signal is proportional to the difference between the
two as well as to the integral of the error) then there are some model
in the standard controls library. You might look at Types 22 and 23. PI
and PID control can be a little tricky in TRNSYS because we discretize
time into time steps that are quite long in comparison to the rate at
which true PID control samples and adjusts a control signal. I would
recommend looking at the PID example and documentation for some hints on
how to set it up.

kind regards,

  David
