[TRNSYS-users] Inquiry about Trnsys Type

Mohammad,

You would have to code a new model; there is no way of merging Types
together.

That said, I am a bit confused about your heat exchanger configuration.
In a wrap around heat exchanger, the pipes are wrapped around the
perimeter of the tank in a long helix shape. In a vertical tube bank
heat exchanger, there is a bundle of tubes immersed in the tank and
running vertically. In your case, are there tubes around the perimeter
of the tank that run vertically? If so then you might look for models
that say they have a mantle or jacket heat exchanger. If the tubes run
vertically but are not on the perimeter then you can use Type534 with
the vertical tube bank heat exchanger mode.

Kind regards,

  David
