Dear Tim,

Which plugin?

Benjamin Stobbe -

You need to modify the parameters of Type 534 by using the plug-in.

Tim

Dear people,

I look into the Type 534 storage tank and yes I can choice more inlets so I connected four solar panels to the water tank via pumps but I can not get it working I get an error that a parameter is not behaving how it should but it is referring to a parameter which does not exist or is an output parameter. So I don’t understand. It is a very basic model right now. I have no heat exchangers now. The flow and the temp of all the port are now only connected.

Benjamin,
If you have access to the TESS Storage Library then you can use Type534, which can have quite a few inlets and outlets. If you are using only the standard component library then you will need to use some instances of Type11 to mix all the returns from your solar collectors before they go into the tank. You will also need to then use some instances of Type11 at the outlet of the tank to split the mixed flow so that it goes back to the appropriate collector.
kind regards,
 David

Sorry to be more clear i am talking about a Stratified Storage Tank, because i saw by some other tanks there is the option for 2 inlets i want 4 inlets if possible from every facade, if you use water from other solar panels the water is warmer and less heat exchange and less cooling for the solar panels so this option is not feasable.

Best regards,

Benjamin

Dear everyone,

I had a followup on this question. I have that building and a building has four different facades with four different direction but if i want to model this with one tank is this possible. So a tank with more inputs or must i then connect the solar panels with eachother and then to the tank.

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] want to design an array of hybrid pv panels or combination of hybrid pv panels and transparant pv panels

Dear people,

I am busy with designing a solar system on a facade of a building and i want this to be a combination of transparent solar cells and hybrid pv panels. Now the last weeks I already figured the hybrid pv(PV-t) panels and I thought about how can I do an array. There is a possible to do an array of pv-panels but this is not hybrid and I thought I can make the surface of the hybrid pv panel bigger but this also is not what you want because then you also have to increase the amount of pipes and this does not seem to work that good. For the problem transparent pv panels I can just use array of solar panels and make the yield times the factor of transparent or make the panels smaller.

But I hope someone can help me with the hybrid pv-t panels.

Best regards,

Benjamin Stobbe
