Attached is this week's NASMHPD Weekly Update, containing:

(1) Information on a partnership the Department of Health and Human Services has formed with Morehouse Medical School to provide COVID-19 information to hard-hit minority, lower-income, and rural communities, as well as graphics on COVID-19 infection and testing disparities;

(2) news of an important NRI survey of states on the impact of the pandemic on state mental health systems, for which responses are due July 10;

(3) details on a study of the high levels of suicide risk among health professionals, particularly surgeons;

(4) a Crisis Now Crisis Talk column on the intersection of inpatient behavioral health beds and insufficient crisis care;

(5) information on two SAMHSA-sponsored webinars scheduled for next week on technological outreach and improving access to care through Medicaid 1115 waivers;

(6) a notice of an upcoming funding announcement from the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) on brief suicide prevention interventions for youth; and

(7) additional NASMHPD Links of Interest which  contain, inter alia, a Government Accountability Report issued today on the Federal Government's responses to the COVID-19 pandemic (with a number of recommendations on how to do better).
