VRF modeling was added back in e+v7.2 and expanded in 8.4 so depending on your model you may be able to accomplish it in simergy.

It's a good ideal. But how to get in Symergy beta program ?
My problem is DOAS sizing and VRF new model support which only recently added in E+ 8.4.
I also want to know about the ability to automate work in Symergy like eppy in E+ and Measure writing in OS ?

Frankly spoken, I don't like OS approach when likely have only 2 main two catergories : newcomer /drawing-only architect due to bright screen and sketchup intergration, other is developer seems to encourage more and more newcomer so they get money for measure developing from first categories user :D. I can't image how's slow OS will be with 100+ zones and GUI using. The main problem is their code is not optimized and well designed. They choose flexibility and nice visual instead of stability. Hope they can get better optimized like E+. When geometry and directly naming are done(gbxml hopefully) , Symergy is much more suitable.

Depending on the complexity of what you are trying to do in 8.4 it may still be in your favor to use Simergy then export the model to idf and add the necessary items through idf editor and then perform your simulation.

I am an energyplus user and need some functions in lastest verion (8.4) . i tried symergy 1.49 last year but want to wait for newer E+ support. I tried several E+ GUI and see that  Symergy has very strong structure and good workflow GUI. if E+ support is better, it is really a good energy simulation competitor especially for M&E (HVAC) user due to simplicity and fast-responsive GUI.
