[PetiteCloud] Petitecloud not starting?

I have installed petitecloud on FreeBSD 10.0-RELEASE successfully (I
think). When I run /usr/local/etc/rc.d/petitecloud start it says
petitecloud has started, but I see no .pid file in /var/run/petitecloud/
and I am unable to connect to the webserver at localhost:8080.

Do I need to have tomcat enabled and started? Do I need to have a line in
/etc/rc.d to enable petitecloud?

Please direct me to where I should go next.
