First Annual Lakewood Scarecrow Festival 
October 12-November 10, 2013 
Location:  Uptown Lakewood (Madison Avenue between Warren and Hilliard Avenues)
Interested individuals, businesses and organizations
located in the city of Lakewood are invited to create a family friendly
Scarecrow for display during from October 12-November 10 in the Uptown District
on Madison Avenue. 
The Scarecrows will be placed in assigned locations
throughout the Uptown District beginning October 12th . Event organizers have a
goal of at least 25 Scarecrows this year. 
Scarecrows need
to be registered by September 15. Registrants will receive a weighted,
portable base with a predrilled 2 x 4, embedded upright so it can easily
connect and erect your scarecrow. The registration fee is $25 with 100% of
proceeds benefiting the Kiwanis of Lakewood and Uptown Lakewood.  Prizes will be awarded in several different
categories.

Engine and Founder of Uptown Lakewood. According to Ruth Koenigsmark stART NEO

within our community in a manner that is fun for the whole family.”
