Here are a brief list of steps obtained from CLSTR-4645.

  1.  unmount mdt

  2.  mount -t ldiskfs

  3.  backup changelog* files (optional):
cp changelog_catalog ~/changelog_catalog.bin
cp changelog_users ~/changelog_users.bin

  4.  remove the changelog* files:
rm -f changelog_users changelog_catalog

  5.  umount mdt image mounted as ldiskfs

  6.  mount mdt as lustre
