Hi,
I have big Troubles getting Lustre running on SUSE EL 10 SP1.
Due to the fact that I need to run a Stornext Client 3.02 which is
only possible with Kernel 2.6.16.46-0.12 on the same machine I
desperately need to install Lustre 1.6.7.1 Patchless Client on that
kernel.
I tried to build lustre from sources, but when I start and load
lustre, via mount -t lustre MDS_IP at tcp:/lustre /mnt/lustre, /var/log/
messages tells me the following stuff:

I built lustre the following way:
download lustre-1.6.7.1.tar.gz
./configure --with-linux=/usr/src/linux --with-linux-obj=/usr/src/
linux-obj/x86_64/smp
make rpms
Then I installed the
lustre-1.6.7.1-2.6.16.46_0.12_smp_Date.x86_64.rpm and the
lustre-modules-1.6.7.1-2.6.16.46_0.12_smp_Date.x86_64.rpm
which were created in /usr/src/packages/RPMS/x86_64
When I use Lustre RPMS from the download Page with EL 10 SP2 with the
2.6.16.60 Kernel, I am able to mount lustre, everything works except
the Stornext Client :-(
Thanks for hints,
Michael
