On behalf of the IBPSA-SF Chapter, we are pleased to announce the following event:

Webinar on CBECC-Com beta testing
When: Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 6:00pm - 8:00pm PST
Venue: WSP, 405 Howard Street, Suite 500, San Francisco, CA 94105

Schedule: 6:00pm -6:30pm - Networking (If attending in person)
6:30pm - 8pm - Webinar Presentation

Architectural Energy Corporation (AEC) will be presenting a webinar providing an update on the current feature set of CBECC-Com (the CEC public domain Title 24 compliance software), targeted to the IBPSA San Francisco and Los Angeles Chapters.

The presenter will provide:

- An update on the current feature set of CBECC-Com.

- A webinar training session. The presenter will walk through the process of creating a simple building and its systems, spending an appropriate amount of time on each step and answering questions along the way.

- An overview of the CBECC-Com website (http://bees.archenergy.com/) where people can download the software, view short training video tutorials, and also log any issues they encounter while using CBECC-Com. The issue tracking feature will be an important part of the beta testing.

The webinar will also encourage IBPSA members interested in beta testing to identify any current projects they're working on that may be subject to complying with T24-2013 and use those as the basis for their beta testing. Alternately, any recently completed projects could serve as good test projects.

As testing progresses, IBPSA beta testers will be encouraged to submit any issues they encounter through the project issue tracker.

- AEC's team is contracted with the CEC to provide support to users of CBECC-Com during this beta testing period. We will be able to review problematic input files, error messages generated during a compliance analysis, and generally be available to answer questions.

- This support is not intended to be a substitute for a full-blown training course, so it is expected that beta testers will take time to review the available documentation and online videos.
