This REALWORLD eQUEST: TIME-EFFICIENT METHODS FOR EFFECTIVE ENERGY MODELING sounds great. I'd love to see something like this on the east coast! Anyone on this side feel inspired?

Subject: [Equest-users] Two different eQUEST classes offered at PGE Center in San Francisco Dec 3rd and 4th

Dear all,

You are all invited (while space available).
*I'm sure you would like to burn some "turkey calories" from week before using some brain power!

Please check the links below for more details/registration, 3hr classes led by Neil Bulger, PE, CEPE, Energy Modeling Team Leader at Integral Group in Oakland CA.

The 3rd is Advanced, the 4th is more conceptual design geared towards less experienced equest users.
Neil is a great engineer and awesome teacher; you shouldn't miss this (free of charge) opportunity!

REALWORLD eQUEST: TIME-EFFICIENT METHODS FOR EFFECTIVE ENERGY MODELING
Tuesday, December 3, 2013, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at Pacific Energy Center;
This is an ADVANCED class. Please note the participant requirements below.
Register at: http://www.pge.com/pec/classes/6558.htm
Target audience: Engineers and energy modelers with experience using eQuest in detailed mode.
One of the most widely used modeling tools is the free software program eQuest 3.64. This ADVANCED class describes ways to reduce time setting up an eQuest model and increase time examining and understanding the results. Users will gain a better understanding of what eQuest can and cannot do, learn helpful text edits and simple scripts, and how to review results.
Attendees must be comfortable using eQuest in the detailed mode and familiar with the output and input file types. This class will not cover any eQuest wizard mode components or model setup in depth. You must bring your own computer with eQuest 3.64 pre-loaded. The instructor will be Neil Bulger from the Oakland office of Integral Group.

THE ROLE OF ENERGY MODELING IN CONCEPTUAL DESIGN
Wednesday, December 4, 2013, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at Pacific Energy Center;
Register at: http://www.pge.com/pec/classes/6557.htm
Target audience: Architects, engineers, consultants, and others interested in better understanding how energy modeling can be used early in the design process.
When responding to the right set of questions, early energy modeling can inform design decisions that shape building performance and affect project goals. This introductory/intermediate course will offer guiding questions for conceptual phase, mapping out ways to discuss energy and comfort impacts early in the design process.
The instructor will be Neil Bulger from the Oakland office of Integral Group.
