About the presentation and the speaker:
The presentation will be on "GBCI and LEED Reviews from an Insider's Perspective." Dan will cover an overview of GBCI, the LEED review process, how to best interact with USGBC and GBCI, and tips and tricks that will help attendees more successfully navigate the GBCI LEED review process.
Dan Katzenberger is a registered professional engineer, licenced in 17 states, and he has 21 years of experience in commercial building mechanical systems design and computerized energy simulations (starting with DOE 2.1d). Dan has been a LEED Quality Assurance Auditor and then a Certified LEED Reviewer working as an employee of GBCI for three years, and he has reviewed EA and IEQ LEED submittals for more than 550 LEED projects. Prior to joining GBCI Dan served as a voting member of the USGBC EA-TAG for three years, and then he served as a liaison to the EQ-TAG immediately after joining GBCI. Dan is currently a subcommittee chair on ASRHAE's SPC-209: Energy Simulation Aided Design for Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings, and he is also working towards his Master's Degree in Sustainability and Environmental Management through Harvard University's Extension School.
