Hello IBPSA-USA members,

At each biennial SimBuild conference, IBPSA-USA gives two awards to outstanding contributors in the area of building simulation. We are now soliciting nominations for the SimBuild2012 conference to be held in Madison, Wisconsin on 1-3 August. Please consider any colleagues you consider to be deserving recipients of these awards. One award is for long term “Achievement” in the field and one award is for “Outstanding Practice”. Achievement awards are normally considered for simulation software developers and researchers/model developers (government or university), while the practice awards are normally given to a person or firm that has contributed significantly in the application of simulation tools in building design and/or building performance monitoring. A description of the awards is shown below along with previous awardees. These awardees should be considered ineligible for any nomination. To avoid any future disappointments, please do not inform the person you are nominating.

Please send your nomination to me, NO LATER THAN 20 July. The IBPSA-USA board will make a determination from the list of nominees, and make the awards in Madison.

Thank you very much for your participation in this important IBPSA-USA function.
