Realizing Energy Modeling's Potential

Note: An RSVP is required two days to ensure that we have enough phone lines and/or seats. The speaker will present from the Golden, Colorado, office. See www.nrel.gov/analysis/seminar/<http://www.nrel.gov/analysis/seminar/> to register.

NREL's Strategic Energy Analysis Center (SEAC) and DOE/EERE's Office of Planning, Budget, and Analysis (PBA) will present a seminar discussing the need to identify best practices and deliver quality tools to perform in-depth building performance analysis. Local, state, and government agencies are establishing increasingly aggressive performance targets. Ellen Franconi, a senior consultant with Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI), will summarize the key events of the recent Building Energy Modeling (BEM) Summit and highlight the work plans created to support the future of energy modeling. DOE's Amir Roth will present the department's stance on the current state of BEM and the role of DOE-funded tools as well as respond to the next steps identified for the industry at the summit.
